Elite FAQ
Common questions.
What is the difference between Vipers Local and Lace ’Em Up Elite?
Vipers Local is our year-round local club program for grades 1–8 built around team practices, league play and a monthly tournament. Lace ’Em Up Elite is a seasonal (March–July) competitive program for 11U–17U with two practices and one skills lab per week, plus local and circuit tournaments.
Are tournament fees included?
No. Tournament fees are additional to the monthly Vipers Local fee. Contact our team for the latest tournament details.
How often do teams practice?
Vipers Development (grades 1–3) practices once per week. Vipers Competitive Development (grades 4–8) and Lace ’Em Up Elite practice twice per week and add one skills lab per week. Exact practice days and times are shared with families after team placement.
What is a skills lab?
A skills lab is a dedicated weekly session focused on individual development — ball handling, shooting, footwork, finishing and decision-making — separate from team practice. It is built into the Grades 4–8 Vipers program and the Elite program.
Where are practices held?
At the Karl Malone Training Center in Lehi, Utah.
How do tryouts and team placement work?
Athletes are placed by grade or age division, skill level and roster availability. When evaluations are scheduled, we post them on our Tryouts page. Sign up for tryout updates to be notified.
